Study: StudentBench: AI Tutoring Research Study for GRE and SAT Preparation. You are being asked to participate because you are 18 or older and are preparing for the GRE or SAT.
Purpose and participation
The purpose is to understand how well AI tutoring improves test performance. A study session takes about 2 hours. You may be randomly assigned to AI tutoring, human tutoring, or a no-tutoring comparison condition. You will answer intake questions, complete a pre-test, complete the assigned tutoring or comparison activity, and take a post-test.
Risks and benefits
Risks are minimal and include time, fatigue, frustration with test questions, and the possibility that a tutor may make mistakes. You may benefit from practice, tutoring if assigned, and a personalized report. Benefits are not guaranteed.
Information collected
We collect name, email, age, grade or education level, session data, answers, tutoring transcripts, timing information, and related technical records. Results are reported in aggregate or de-identified form. Research records are retained for at least 6 years after publication.
Payment and voluntary participation
Participants who complete the study are eligible for $50 payment, subject to completion and study integrity review. Taking part is voluntary. You may stop at any time without penalty.
